In the novel, Falk describes how his lifetime of depression spurred him to try and escape his 'pointless' life by plunging into a life of adventure. He enters Sarajevo during the 1993 civil war and through numerous false starts and mistakes begins to create a career for himself as a war journalist. Throughout the experience, he matures as man and reporter.

Although many have been interested in optioning Falk's book, Wilson's enthusiasm won in the end. Wilson hasn't confirmed whether he'll adapt the project himself, but plans to star and produce the movie."

It’s time to come clean. First off, I must apologize to all (10) fans of the original “Starsky and Hutch” series. I did not go see the new movie because I’m a fan of the 70s show. The only recollection I have of the (vaguely gay) cop buddy show was Starsky’s opulent red Ford Gran Torino in mid-air. The rest has either been forgotten, or boxed away in the recesses of my mind to prevent trauma.

And who says things don't happen for a reason?
Thanks to a 1996 movie about television, essentially, comedy geniuses Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are bringing a classic 1975 television show -- 'Starsky & Hutch' -- to life this week on the big screen.
The movie in question was 'The Cable Guy,' the Jim Carrey dark comedy which Stiller directed and had a co-starring role in. And it was on that film where he first met Wilson, who was featured in a smaller role.
